Shift Work: Why do you play a druid?

I've been playing MMO RPGs for a long while now and I have always enjoyed playing a Druid type class. The specifics of the class vary slightly from game to game, but they more or less stay true to what we've come to expect from it.
Why is it, then, that I cannot, despite many efforts and attempts get into the World of Warcraft Druid?
